For over 25 years, Dr. Shuffett's practice has been built on personal and physician referrals.  He does not engage in any type of formal advertising or marketing program.  Dr. Shuffett feels that "word of mouth" referrals based on years of excellent results and mutual trust are best way to run his practice.  Dr. Shuffett and his staff strive to treat each patient as if they were family with the mutual goal of achieving the best results possible.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

As a practice, we are true believers that excellence in performing plastic surgery procedures is derived from both education and experience.  We strive to keep current on the latest techniques and standards so we can provide our patients with the safest operations, and the most optimal results. That’s why we focus on thorough exams – checking your total health before performing any procedures. We also know that surgery is never routine, no matter how many hundreds of times we have performed such procedures.  We never take for granted that you have placed a great deal of confidence in us.  For this reason, a review of your medical history, your current health, your expectations for your surgery and your motivations for electing any cosmetic procedure are all taken into consideration before we even agree to perform any procedure. To give you the best possible service and results, we are committed to continual education and learning.   We attend plastic surgery lectures, meetings, and plastic surgery conventions to stay informed of new techniques, the latest products, and the newest equipment that a modern plastic surgery practice can utilize to provide state-of-the-art treatment and procedures.  Also, being members of various professional plastic surgery associations helps us to stay fully informed regarding the changes and recommendations for our profession.

FACILITY AND STAFF

In keeping with our philosophy of the highest standards, all procedures are performed in our accredited surgical facility, with accreditation by the American Association for Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgical Facilities.  All types of anesthesia are provided by our Board Certified Anesthesiologist, Paul Cotten MD. Dr. Shuffett and Dr. Cotten are assisted by an excellent staff of registered nurses and technicians.
